Cliff Mintz
Clifford S. Mintz, Ph.D. is the founder of BioInsights, Inc. and serves as its Chairman and CEO. He holds a Ph.D. in Bacteriology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and is an expert in the fields of molecular biology, microbiology, and bioscience education. Dr. Mintz spent seven years as a faculty member in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at the University of Miami School of Medicine, Miami, FL, where he conducted laboratory research and taught microbiology and molecular biology to undergraduates, graduate students, and medical students. After leaving academia, Dr. Mintz spent two years at Transcell Technologies, a biopharmaceutical company in Monmouth Junction, NJ where he was lead scientist and project manger of an antibacterial drug discovery program. From 1996 to 1998, Dr. Mintz was Chairman of Biology at Middlesex County College, (a two-year college located in Edison, NJ) where he helped to craft a bioscience technician training program. For the past two years, Dr. Mintz has been a bioscience education consultant to a variety of colleges, education organizations, and state government agencies.
