Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) Basics XAH215-040529 |
March 29-30, 2004
8:30 am-4:00 pm |
Pharmaceutical, biologics, medical device and food manufacturers use current Good Manufacturing Practice regulations (cGMPs) as they produce, test, and distribute products that flow into commerce. In the United States, the Food and Drug Administration has issued the GMP Regulations as the minimum requirements to manufacture pharmaceuticals, healthcare products and processed foods.
The cGMP basics course will acquaint students with the history and background of the FDA and its Current Good Manufacturing practices. The five key attributes found in cGMPs (safety, identity, strength, purity and quality) will be examined. Individual and group exercises will provide learners a chance to discover how to perform job functions to assure that cGMP attributes are maintained. |
